THE CHALLENGE

This 1960’s tri-level was compartmentalized on the main living level with the kitchen, dining room and living room all walled off from each other making the whole floor basically unusable.

THE SOLUTION

By removing the two walls that enclosed the kitchen area and replacing the main dividing wall with an extended peninsula we were able to create a very functional, open space. The dining room now has more elbow room, people can sit at the peninsula and engage with someone working in the kitchen and the family is now using the living room. We achieved the customers goals by opening up the kitchen and making the space perfect for entertaining.
